Serving people across Upstate New York has been a meaningful part of my life for decades.

I’m Shannon Barr, and as a lifelong resident of the Capital District, I’ve lived in Albany County, Rensselaer County, and Schenectady County. My family and I enjoy spending time in the Adirondacks, visiting Lake George, and exploring the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers along with the many historic places that make this area special. I’ve had the privilege of serving individuals, families, and business owners throughout Upstate NY and surrounding areas for over 30 years.

My office is located at 749 Troy Schenectady Rd, Latham, NY, and my team and I focus on taking the time to understand what matters most to each person we work with. Coverage needs are personal, and we believe conversations should be, too. I regularly help customers prepare with Auto, Homeowners, Condo, Renters, Personal Articles, Motorcycle, Recreational Vehicles, and Boat coverage, as well as Life coverage to support the people who matter most. We also work with customers who are transferring coverage into New York, and we’re always glad to welcome new neighbors. For business owners, I assist with Business and Commercial Liability coverage, including rental dwellings, taking the time to explain options clearly so decisions feel informed and manageable.
